First Sunday Food
JFPC partners with Immanuel Lutheran Food Pantry! The first Sunday of each month we bring non-perishable items which restock the shelves at food pantry. Have questions, contact Chris Lake.

Jackson Public Schools Community Closet
JFPC partners with Northeast Elementary School to help stock their "closet" with items a student might need during a school day. These items include personal care products, clothing, shoes, boots, and coats.

Library Aides at Northeast Elementary School
JFPC also partners with Northeast Elementary School to help in their library. Volunteers make a difference by serving three hours per week in the library.

The Interfaith Shelter provides shelter, meals, physical, emotional, and spiritual support for Jackson's homeless population. On the first Tuesday of the month, we make, deliver, and serve a meal.

In the Fall of 2021, JFPC partnered with The Community Action Agency to provide early education experiences for Pre-Head Start age children. The program is run by CAA and housed at JFPC. At CAA’s request the Jackson County Intermediate School District (ISD) may also be joining these groups with their 0-3 year olds.
When we partner with agencies such as these, JFPC is actually entering into the work of addressing large societal issues. While they may be small steps, without immediate results they are attempts at dismantling systems of oppression and poverty that exist in our world today.
NA meets Fridays and Saturdays from 7:30pm-8:30pm in the Small Dining Room (Lower level - see map).
Love, INC - Love in the Name of Christ
Jackson’s First Presbyterian Church supports Love INC. with a weekly loose change offering, volunteer workers, and diapers for mothers in need. You can volunteer in any of these areas.

Once a month the Red Cross holds a blood drive in the Fellowship Hall, one of the largest blood drive locations in Jackson County. To attend one of these blood drives, enter the lower level via door 4.
The Hive
JFPC owns and operates The Hive building next door and has Samaritas (formerly Lutheran Social Services) as a tenant. This is a mutually beneficial arrangement since we can offer below market rental rates for the building to an entity that has a mission to support children and families. We in turn receive a return on our investment and control some parking adjacent to the building. We also have future opportunities to rent to other non-profits that align with our mission or use the space for other mission purposes.
Lori Tate, DMin, is a spiritual director and an IEA Accredited Professional Member. She integrates the Enneagram into her spiritual direction practice, Soul Dig, which extends beyond the United States.
Spiritual direction is a practice that can help lead you to a deeper love and acceptance of God and yourself; cultivate inner peace, and a gentleness with yourself and others; strengthen your confidence in God and yourself; and bring greater clarity and perspective, meaning and purpose in your life.

A Clean Slate Cleaning Co.
A Clean Slate Cleaning Service cleans the church once a week. In their fifth year of business, they clean both residential homes and businesses. The cleaning business is an outgrowth of SOAR Café and Farms here in Jackson.
SOAR is a non-profit organization that supports women who have been trafficked, addicted, abused and incarcerated. Some of the women A Clean Slate Cleaning Service employs have been through SOAR’s program and are thriving!
SOAR has a beautiful home at 300 South Brown Street that offers a two-year program for women that need a place to heal and get back on their feet. If anyone has a question about A Clean Slate or SOAR, please feel free to contact Lisa Nastally 517-612-9320.

This Boy Scout Troop & Crew meets at JFPC regularly and often works on improvement projects for the church. In 2023 they performed our fall cleanup and renovated the outdoor play area near the parking lot with new green grass!
Located in Gowen, Michigan, Camp Greenwood is a great place for kids of all ages! They provide a safe place for life-changing experiences and outdoor activities. Camp Greenwood strives to strengthen the bond between campers, their parents and local churches, by helping campers to take what they have been taught and put it into practice.
Greater Jackson Habitat for Humanity
To support Habitat, you can work on a build, take lunches to the crew, contribute money and/or building materials.
